Frequently Asked Questions: Who can join JPA? We welcome Jewish adults and their partners. While many participants are Russian-speaking parents of children aged 0-21, anyone who is intellectually curious can benefit from our programs. What is the JPA Cohort Program? Our flagship program consists of 10-11 classes held every two weeks. Each session focuses on a Jewish topic and is taught by leading scholars and thinkers in the field. Do I need to attend all classes? Yes. The program is designed as a group learning experience. Participants (20- 25 per cohort) commit to attending all sessions to build a strong knowledge base and lasting relationships with fellow learners. Is this program only for parents? No. While many participants are parents, the program focuses on Jewish heritage and learning rather than parenting. It's valuable for any Jewish adult interested in connecting with their heritage and community. What is JPA's background? JPA is an independent grassroots organization founded by Russian-speaking Jewish parents in Brooklyn in 2015. Run by an all-RSJ team, we have no political or religious agenda beyond making Jewish heritage accessible. While non- partisan, we are proudly pro-Israel.
